hi,
no they won´t. there are different types of salvia-plants. only salvia divinorum has psychotropic effects.
the plant seen on your photo is not salvia divinorum.

This is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_sage
Although it contains some thujone which is psychoactive (and toxic) at a certain treshold, I guess its not what you want ;)

Salvia divinorum contains salvinorin, which has not been found in any other plant yet

No, it won't! Salvia divinorum is a completely different species of salvia than the one you've got there. Yours is a simple garden plant, not the sacred herb of the mazetec people of Oaxaca, Mexico. I'm afraid your salvia is not going to have any psychoactive properties whatsoever, ats1080.

Salvia divinorum has been made illegal in Germany recently. Find out about the legal status of salvia divinorum in your country before looking for ways to buy the herb or a live plant. Salvia divinorum is legal in most countries of the world, though. Make sure to find out all you can about its effects and effective ways of consuming the herb. Get a bong, if you don't have one. Provide for a pleasant setting and maybe a person who serves as a trip-sitter. Don't go on a Salvia trip if you are scared of the effects. Ask someone trustworthy who has had experience with salvia divinorum and who is familiar with the effects before consuming it yourself. READ A LOT about it BEFORE trying it on your own - to make sure you will profit from the experience! bye.gif

Dry the leaf and prepare a tea. Very soothing especially if you happen to have a sore throat smile.gif

No, Thujon is in the plant "wormwood"/artemesia absinthum (Wermut). In Salvia Officialis is just ... nothing (relevant).

salvia officinalis has a small part of thujon in it, but not enough to be like a drug...but it has a goooood taste^^

Your salvia plant looks like Salvia pratensis.
That's a good medical herb, but unfortunately not psychoactive.
Only Salvia divinorum and no other type of salvia contains the salvinorin A.

If you are not living in Germany oder Norway it should be no problem to get salvia divinorum. Just ask at your local head shop, or get some plants or leafs from the internet bye.gif
